Once we have sent you a confirmation regarding your child’s admission, you will be required to visit the school office and fill in and submit the application form within two working days. Please note that the first installment of the school fees is required to be paid at the time of submission of the application form.

OUR PROTOCOL

DROPPING OFF and PICKING UP THE CHILD

Smiti lays great emphasis on punctuality which plays a vital role in forming good habits for children. Please ensure that your child is not late and since children require a substantial time to settle down and begin the day, we insists that you drop off your child ten minutes prior to commencement of school. Similarly once school gets over, since children become restless to rush to their parents, please make sure that your child does not have to wait long before he/she is picked up. Should unavoidable circumstances cause any delay, we request parents to always inform the school.

Illness

Parents should not send any child to school if the child is unwell or suffering from any infectious ailment and must follow the usual quarantine period. When such a child rejoins the environment, a doctor’s certificate of fitness must be produced.

ABSENCE

Smiti discourages that children be absent from school without proper reason. However, in case of such absence the school must be intimated in writing.

DRESS CODE

“Free choice is one of the highest of all mental processes.”

-Dr. Maria Montessori

We believe in the importance of a child’s freedom of choice and hence do not specify any uniformity in dress. We encourage clothing that is comfortable for the child, allows free movement and independence in the restroom.

It is expected that children should not wear expensive jewellery to school, and request parents to label all personal belongings that the child brings to school.

SAFETY AND SECURITY

Smiti Montessori House of Children is dedicated to providing a safe and secure learning environment for every child entrusted to our care. At the school the children are always under professional supervision by our staff. This supervision extends to both indoor and outdoor activity. The environments are arranged in a way that there are no blind spots where children may get lost from sight. There is constant CCTV monitoring. Background check of all teaching and non teaching staff is duly conducted. Children are allowed to leave the school only with parents or authorised representatives. Access inside the school premises is restricted to approved individuals. Our campus is secured by a fence, trained guards and 24/7 surveillance cameras installed to monitor every movement within the school.
