Sudipa Ray

Co-Founder and Directress

Sudipa Ray completed an Honours degree in Political Science from the University of Calcutta in 2000. Being a person always finding joy amidst tiny- tots, it had been her conviction that her profession would revolve around children, immersed in their nurture. In order to equip herself to pursue her passion with professional expertise, she obtained a Diploma in Montessori from the Indian Institute of Montessori Studies, Bengaluru in 2004-2005.

Sudipa embarked on her odyssey of grooming children according to the Montessori ethos by joining the renowned Head Start Educational Academy, where she found a rewarding and enriching journey until 2015. During this stint her professional dexterity and innate empathy deeply touched many children and were instrumental in providing a catalytic impetus to their blossoming. She also added Cambridge International Diploma for Teachers and Trainers to her oeuvre. Sudipa brings to Smiti her ingenuity and passion for offering children a veritable garden of learning.

Shri S. Raghu, a qualified civil engineer and an altruist at heart, has dedicated himself to public service for more than two decades. Not only have countless people across social strata gained immeasurably from his benevolent care, a large part of the city of Bengaluru has flourished due to his patronage.

His father honorable late T. Subramanya’s vision of building a school which imparts the best education to children found an abiding resonance in Shri S.Raghu’s heart and remained an unwavering beacon of constancy amidst all his projects. It is his zeal to materialize this long-cherished dream and create an institution of highest quality based on amalgamation of modern, scientific occidental learning and age-old Indian traditions and culture which found fruition with the creation of Smiti Montessori House of Children.

Shri S.Praveen, BA, LLB, is an eminent entrepreneur whose horizon transcends the bounds of business endeavours. He is animated by a pulsating longing to serve the society by creating sterling institutions of excellence which empower people and usher in development. This indomitable ardour impelled him to join hands in creation of Smiti Montessori House of Children. Shri Praveen harnesses his vast experience in providing leadership to various challenging ventures and personally helms Smiti, his enterprising management expertise providing direction to the school.
